Tourmalines display a greater range of colours than any other gemstone, they are fascinating stones. In fact, it comes in every colour of the spectrum. Each different coloured stone has a different name. Pink tourmaline is also known as ‘rubellite’ which is the Latin word for red.

Tourmalines are semi precious with a hardness of 7.0 to 7.5 on the Mohr’s scale, tourmaline is a durable, scratch-resistant stone which is suitable for any kind of jewellery, including rings. The best way to clean your tourmaline jewellery is with mild soapy water and a soft brush like a child’s toothbrush. The use of ultrasonic and steam cleaners is not recommended.
